In our view Mandalay House is one of Australia’s finest holiday residences and is more akin to a Private Luxurious Resort in the ever popular Whitsundays. This is a perfectly presented, immaculately looked after and detailed home suited for serious guests who expect to be treated like Royalty. Completely private and secure, no stone is left unturned with the property or the unrivalled hospitality of its full-time staff ensuring guests are in total care with an included chef, mini-van & driver.
Among its impressive list of features this ever expansive home boasts a private deep-water marina, helicopter pad, gymnasium, cinema room, underground wine-cellar dining room, outdoor terrace with BBQ & pizza oven, elevator, air-conditioning throughout and of course the resort style swimming pool which laps the verandah. The horizon swimming pool feels like it’s part of the home, when you walk through the interior you get a constant glimpse of the pool from every room, it literally feels like it’s inside the home, on the ocean side wet edge runs off continuously into the Coral Sea. Children are well catered for with the outdoor play equipment, in-door children’s rumpus & media room on primary level and amazing swimming facilities.
Mandalay House’s Mediterranean-inspired architecture and unrivalled luxury features throughout, an absolute dream home on the beautiful Whitsunday Coast, located at the heart of the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef in Airlie Beach Queensland, Australia.
When you walk through the home it feels like you’re looking through a picture frame, every detail has been considered with unobstructed vistas from every angle. Mandalay House took 3.5 years to build and nothing was overlooked during the construction period with high-quality artisans and materials sourced from overseas and Australia. Inspiration was drawn from homes in Nice and Monte Carlo with a commitment to ensure the building materials honoured the Mediterranean style of homes, the patina of every surface and construction of the home was crafted to ensure the building gets better and better with age. The architect and his interior designer partner travelled through Europe for inspiration prior to the build phase and they purchased exact furniture to suit the shape of every room. The property is opulent, a sequence of increasingly rich interiors, reminiscent of the Baroque period with most of the antiquities originating from Italy and the United States.
The property is impressive with a magnitude of homely areas ensuring all guests can have their favourite retreat while re-joining to form life-long memories.
Features a climate controlled cellar with dining for 12, private cinema, gymnasium, garage, staff quarters and utilities.
