“...country get away. So peaceful and yet a short drive into Berrima. The house was well appointed with great kitchen and living area with a fireplace. The kids and family loved the kangaroos, wombats and bird life as well as the basketball hoop and trampoline. Would definitely recommend staying here.”

Outdoor and indoor areas are thoughtfully planned to hold a medium sized group to enjoy time together as well as to enjoy bit of own space. Kitchen is well equipped and loved cooking some classic holiday meals together. Bedrooms and linen are very clean and comfy, and every room has a beautiful view to wake up to. There is a post agreement to booking with more details on email, and a charge of a bond fee similar to a hotel booking which we didn’t expect but didn’t mind (something to expect upon booking). Excess rubbish removal is at a charge, unless you take care of them on yourself, as there are no bins provided by the council to the area. It’s not a big problem unless you plan to cook your own meals during your stay as we did as there is very little options to take out/eat in around the area. All in all, the place was unique and enjoyable for our special family occasion.”

The apartment was everything I hoped for - spacious, comfortable, and convenient to so much but still quiet and relaxed. The proximity to Bondi Junction makes it easy to get around, but it’s separated enough in a nice residential area. Sadly, the nearest coffee place was closed for the school holidays, but there were so many cute spots on Queen Street and it’s a lovely walk. Don’t miss the Plane Tree Cafe for breakfast or croissants from the Cook & Baker. Our only complaint at the apartment was the Wi-Fi - we had issues most of the week - but the lovely balcony, view, comfortable beds, filtered water, easy parking, and other little touches more than made up for it. We’d love to return!”

“...clean and well equipped. Great location in the heart of Surry Hills and place had everything we needed. Listing is managed by an agency and required us to sign an additional booking agreement and allow a significant holding deposit on our Credit Card of several thousand dollars, was not a big issue but it placed great onus on the guests including a $100/hr charge if you are >1hr late to the in-person check in time you advised. Our hosts were then late to meet us which left us waiting with young children which wasn't ideal. The Hosts were not the usual managers so there was a few issues with wifi/tv and no info book in the property on check in, hosts were apologetic and tried to be helpful but took us 24 hrs to resolve wifi after having to chase up ourselves. Overall the property was great and we had a great stay, however check in process could improve to ensure a seamless stay for guests. Also beware of mozzies if you open downstairs bedroom garden window.”

The separate bedroom downstairs has a full glass door with louvres but no window. Lots of sea breeze and ocean sounds but very dark. The couple using it didn’t mind.”

The only thing to be aware of is that the apartment is on a busy street, so pretty noisy early in the morning if you're a light sleeper.”

Obviously it goes without saying that it is truly a unique combination of building and siting. We enjoyed a very peaceful and relaxing celebration. My husband excelled in the cooking department; and not needing to spend any time in the kitchen was a blessed relief for me! Thank you very much for providing the lovely champagne - that was a very welcome surprise. We’d love to visit again at some point. I did mention this to Jessica but would you also please thank the owners on our behalf for sharing their beautiful home with us. If elderly folk are looking check the number of stairs and shower is over a bath so one member had to shower elsewhere. This is only a problem if elderly. Not noisy. “...the place is gorgeous. Check in was easy. Rooms are small, better for max 2 adults and maybe 1-2 kids. I wish there were wall plugs by the beds. Unit was out of coffee and host never responded to that request. Worst was there was construction being done on the building that was VERY loud and started very early in the morning. It made for a generally uncomfortable stay.”

I would say the house is not ideal for children or people who would struggle with stairs which didn’t worry us but to keep in mind for others. The exterior could use a freshen up but the view made up where it was lacking.”
