Communication with the host was easy and the caretaker Angela was very welcoming. The building also has a gym and a tiny pool that faces the other side of the building towards the Opera House and the bridge so the views are also quite something. The area is buzzing with restaurants, cafes, gyms, supermarkets, there's a train station nearby and a bus stop right in front of the building. I much prefer staying there than in the CBD. Looking forward to returning!”

This is a truly incredible property where the owners have left nothing to chance and used an exceptional eye to detail from the aesthetic to the way the property flows and how large groups would enjoy the spaces. Large family gatherings, weddings, reunions would all be perfect here. We have only missed about 4 years doing an agency retreat (out of 25) and I think this is probably my favourite property of them all! ”

It’s not a big problem unless you plan to cook your own meals during your stay as we did as there is very little options to take out/eat in around the area. The apartment was everything I hoped for - spacious, comfortable, and convenient to so much but still quiet and relaxed. The proximity to Bondi Junction makes it easy to get around, but it’s separated enough in a nice residential area. Sadly, the nearest coffee place was closed for the school holidays, but there were so many cute spots on Queen Street and it’s a lovely walk. Don’t miss the Plane Tree Cafe for breakfast or croissants from the Cook & Baker. Our only complaint at the apartment was the Wi-Fi - we had issues most of the week - but the lovely balcony, view, comfortable beds, filtered water, easy parking, and other little touches more than made up for it. We’d love to return!”

We really enjoyed it and wish we could have stayed longer. The only reason I gave 4 stars was that whilst we were there the owner let her herself in with a handyman to fix the filtered water tap and the regular cleaner also let themselves in without buzzing and we had only been there a few days so there wasn’t much to clean. Also there weren’t any oven gloves we could find in the kitchen. Other than that it was a really wonderful stay and great location.”

“...clean and well equipped. Great location in the heart of Surry Hills and place had everything we needed. Listing is managed by an agency and required us to sign an additional booking agreement and allow a significant holding deposit on our Credit Card of several thousand dollars, was not a big issue but it placed great onus on the guests including a $100/hr charge if you are >1hr late to the in-person check in time you advised. Our hosts were then late to meet us which left us waiting with young children which wasn't ideal. The Hosts were not the usual managers so there was a few issues with wifi/tv and no info book in the property on check in, hosts were apologetic and tried to be helpful but took us 24 hrs to resolve wifi after having to chase up ourselves. Overall the property was great and we had a great stay, however check in process could improve to ensure a seamless stay for guests. Also beware of mozzies if you open downstairs bedroom garden window.”

The separate bedroom downstairs has a full glass door with louvres but no window. Lots of sea breeze and ocean sounds but very dark. The couple using it didn’t mind.”

Contrary to other comments I read earlier, going there with a kid wasn't an issue at all. The pool was awesome, the little one loved it. Angela made it super easy for us to check in even though our plane landed at 11pm, and met us there past midnight. She also let us check out later. Thank you! The only thing to be aware of is that the apartment is on a busy street, so pretty noisy early in the morning if you're a light sleeper.”
